Unilever makes largest gain
Overall market activity resulted from trading in 12 securities of which four advanced, two declined and six traded firm. Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 304,235 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $6,267,870.05. Trinidad Cement Ltd was the volume leader with 122,678 shares changing hands for a value of $344,075.18, followed by Neal & Massy Holdings with a volume of 75,508 shares being traded for $2,718,288.00.
Republic Bank Ltd contributed 33,347 shares with a value of $2,534,702.62, while Guardian Holdings Ltd added 21,706 shares valued at $282,138.00. Unilver Caribbean Ltd enjoyed the day's largest gain, increasing $0.50 to end the day at $22.50 while WITCO added $0.05 to close the day at $47.05. Conversely, Trinidad Cement Ltd suffered the day's greatest loss, falling $0.20 to close at $2.80.
The Mutual Fund Market did not record any activity. Fortress Caribbean Property remained at $5.11. Praetorian Property Mutual Fund remained at $3.49. Savinvest India Asia Fund remained at $62.51.
The Second Tier Market did not witness any activity. FNCU Venture Capital Company remained at $1.00. Mora Ven Holdings remained at $15.52.
