Overall market activity resulted from trading in nine securities, of which three advanced, one declined and five traded firm. Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 649,613 shares crossing the floor of the stock exchange valued at $670,681.72. Supreme Ventures Ltd was the volume leader with 604,126 shares changing hands for a value of $90,118.90, followed by GraceKennedy Ltd with a volume of 27,585 shares being traded for $117,236.25.
Sagicor Financial Corporation contributed 7,464 shares with a value of $55,980.00, while Neal and Massy Holdings Ltd added 3,243 shares valued at $149,178. The West Indian Tobacco Company Ltd enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.05 to end the day at $67.06. Conversely, Republic Bank Ltd suffered the day’s sole decline, falling $0.01 to end the day at $94.99. The mutual fund and second tier markets did not record any activity.
