The Government has established a $25M relief fund to assist in recovery efforts following Tropical Storm Bret.
The announcement was made at today's post-Cabinet media conference.
Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 17 securities of which four advanced, six declined and seven traded firm.
Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 489,689 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $2,938,319.18. Sagicor Financial Corporation Ltd was the volume leader with 168,291 shares changing hands for a value of $1,517,183.69, followed by NCB Financial Group with a volume of 123,584 shares being traded for $493,100.16.
JMMB Group contributed 112,243 shares with a value of $143,671.04, while Trinidad Cement Ltd added 27,440 shares valued at $115,248.00.
Massy Holdings Ltd registered the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.03 to end the day at $51.48. Conversely, ANSA McAL registered the day’s largest decline, falling $0.11 to close at $66.39.
Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the mutual fund market, posting a volume of 5,230 shares valued at $117,675. Clico Investment Fund declined by $0.01 to end at $22.50.
The second tier market did not witness any activity.
