Pelham celebrates a milestone

e Nu Pub (The Mas Camp) in Woodbrook where his 65th birthday was Having spanned decades of producing Road March winners for SuperBlue, David Rudder and Tambu, as well as golden classics for other artistes, arrange`r Pelham Goddard was the toast of Dcelebrated last Monday.

Attended by Goddard’s sisters Marlene and Cheryl Rampersad, brother Keith, Florence Romany, TUCO president Lutalo “Bro Resistance” Masimba, relatives and friends, the celebration featured a number of popular singers, plus Goddard’s pan side Sagicor Exodus. 

Also serenading the birthday boy were Explainer, Clive Pierre, Dr Will B, Contender, Earl Brooks, and Tobago artiste Prince Unique, who has the honour of being the first artiste to ever be recorded at Goddard’s Agra 9 Studio in St James, the song being the hit single Ouch!

Host for the evening, popular radio announcer John Benoit spoke in glowing terms of Goddard, a lifelong friend. Also paying tribute to Goddard were his sisters and T&T Guardian Features Editor Peter Ray Blood.

After all the speeches and guest performances it was Goddard’s turn to entertain his guests, and he was joined by former Charlie’s Roots vocalist Natalie Yorke to perform tracks of Goddard’s newest Christmas CD.
