Huge turnout for Bocas Lit open mic

Open Mic/Performance Poetry hosts Gillian Moor and Muhammad Muwakil.

 

The Bocas Lit—Open Mic/Performance Poetry took place at the Library Arcade on Abercromby Street in Port-of-Spain. The event was sponsored by First Citizens. The four-day session, which was hosted by Gillian Moor and Muhammad Muwakil, ran from April 26 to 29 and saw approximately 700 people attend. Among the wide range of performers were Erica Mapp, Charmaine Daisley and Safiya Bakshosein, who are no strangers to this art form.
