It’s My Write

I note with interest the recent debate on whether the UNC is dead. According to Basdeo Panday, the UNC is dead and Dr Roodal Moonilal is stoutly defending the position that the UNC is alive and kicking. This discussion on whether the UNC is dead or ought to be dead is brilliantly dealt with in Lennox Sankersingh’s book, Politics in the Indo-Trinidadian Constituencies.

I would strongly recommend to Panday and Moonilal and all those who have any interest in this topic to read the chapters on the UNC’s Art of Governance, The Role of the UNC MP, What the UNC can Learn from Cricket, The Political Gutting of the Indo-Trinidadian. In fact, the entire book is fascinating reading. It is the best current analysis of present-day politics.
