Speak out against bullying, abuse
I am saddened to see children bullying and abusing each other so much in recent times. The latest incident is of a 14-year-old boy being attacked and beaten by other students and suffering a fractured skull. How could children be so cruel? Our children are being attacked from all sides—peers, teachers, parents, religious leaders, relatives. These people, from whom a child looks to for protection and guidance, are often the ones committing the abuse.
I encourage children to speak out against bullying and abuse. Tell someone when you’re being taken advantage of, abused or feel uncomfortable about certain situations. That way these people can be held accountable for their reprehensible actions.
