Local NGO Is There Not A Cause has launched an awareness and collection drive entitled Sonje —Creole for the English word, remember. The non profit organisation will be including the drive as part of its tenth anniversary celebrations, and will seek to bring awareness to the disadvantaged here at home and in Haiti by embarking on a food and cash donation drive throughout the country. Collection points for non perishable item include Fangle Dangle in Woodbrook, Cards and Stuff in Grand Bazaar and Trincity Mall.

The drive commenced on April 5 at the Brian Lara Promenade, when an entire day was dedicated to informing the public about the venture, taking pledges and collecting food items. On April 26, Is There Not A Cause expects to continue with another mega drive in Tobago, where an open-mike session and concert by mainstream artistes are scheduled. As part of its April-long celebrations, the organisation will be launching its nationwide most items and cash collected competition for offices and groups.
