Creating intelligent, talented and beautiful young ambassadors is what the Miss Oneness Trinidad and Tobago Beauty Pageant is all about. The winner of the competition will represent T&T at the Miss Earth pageant later this year. On August 25 six young women will vie for that opportunity at the second edition of the Miss Oneness competition. Executive producer of Oneness Entertainment Trinidad and Tobago, Vanessa Sahatoo Manoo, said the pageant was designed to showcase the cohesiveness of T&T and Nicaragua in the field of beauty and philanthropy. Sahatoo Manoo is also the director and pageant of the competition in Nicaragua.

“This pageant invites all young, intelligent, talented and beautiful ladies with a passion for empowerment towards future goals. Be it in their chosen careers or humanitarian, they can come forth and support each other towards one common goal, in the end promoting Trinidad and Tobago in its entire splendour.” Last year’s winner, Melanie George-Sharpe, was placed in the final top 28 in the Miss Earth pageant and was awarded the special prize of Miss Bikini Princess. As part of their preparation, the young women will visit some of T&T’s natural attractions, and will represent attractions such as Aripo Savannah, Matura National Park, Nylon Pool, Little Tobago, Paria Waterfalls and Nariva Swamp.
