Eight T&T nationals were still in Libya yesterday, according to relatives. The relatives say only three members of one T&T family left on Wednesday. Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Surujrattan Rambachan, now in Grenada, said one family left and was in London. He said it was very difficult to get citizens out of Libya, but the Government was trying its very best.

Meanwhile, Cynthia Bartholomew, mother-in-law of Franklin McEwen, who works in Libya, said her daughter Debra  (McEwen’s wife) and their four and seven-year-old children were still in Libya on board a boat at sea.
Also on board the vessel are T&T nationals Charles Corbin, Andrew Lawrence and Sharon and Christopher Couttes.
