Four businesses go up in flames

Four businesses were destroyed by fire on Sunday at the Diamond Vale Industrial Estate, Factory Road, Diego Martin. Business owners estimate the losses at $20 million. Destroyed were Ruplas Ltd, Elite Shirt Factory, Store Guard Ltd and Poll Technologies.
Officers of the Four Roads Fire Station and West End Police Station responded. Eyewitnesses said the fire remained smouldering up to late yesterday evening. Detectives believe an electrical problem may have caused the fire. Fire Prevention officers are continuing investigations.
