Student hospitalised after fight in school
A 16-year-old Form Four student attending a school in Western Trinidad was up to late yesterday hospitalised after she was allegedly beaten by three other students. Police said around 2 pm the student was at the school braiding a student’s hair when another girl came into the classroom and criticised the hair style. A report said an argument started and a fight ensued.
The girl was alleged to have taken up a chair during the fracas and hit the student. She then left and returned with her two cousins who beat the student. The injured student was taken to the St James Medical Complex. Up to late yesterday evening, the three students were being questioned by the police. St James police are continuing investigations.
