people in my office until 3 am. I was there listening to their needs and finding solutions so FIFA is not depriving me on my service. I made the point that if it comes to a choice between FIFA and you, FIFA lost.
“People are saying that a dog cannot serve two masters. Let me tell them that I don’t have two masters. In T&T, I serve 1.3 million masters. And I am yet to find someone who cannot agree that I am working beyond the level of expectations. I am bold to say that I am 1000 per cent better than Colm Imbert," he said, referring to his immediate predecessor as the Minister of Works and Transport.

He even took a stab at Congress of the People executives who were calling on him to step down. He said: “There are some purists by day, who saying that Warner should step down. I won't tell you what they are by night. And I have no cause to dignify the nonsense they saying. “You want me to answer Robert Mayers? You want me to answer De Lima? Mayers has no constituency. De Lima has no constituency. I have one. I have no cause to answer them, let them talk. “My friends, I say that those of you who say FIFA business will affect operations of Ministry of Works, I say open your eyes and look around.

In one year, the Minister of Works completed the Churchill Roosevelt Extension. “There is no traffic lights between Golconda and Port of Spain. The traffic into town is almost gone, work is continuing on widening the highway.” Warner said Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar had confidence and faith in him and so too did the people of T&T. He said he had yet to meet one person who did not agree that he was going way beyond normal expectations. Because of the Prime Minister’s confidence, Warner said he had no reason to answer any of his detractors and would instead focus on working with Persad-Bissessar in fulfilling their mandate to improve the lives of the citizenry.

Persad-Bissessar did not attend Warner’s celebrations as she was attending an award ceremony at Cunupia. Education Minister Fazal Karim, Vice- President of the Senate Lyndira Oudit, Mayor Orlando Nagessar and representatives of Chandresh Sharma’s constituency, attended the celebrations.
