Cabinet meets in Tobago today
The ruling People’s Partnership (PP) administration will hold two anniversary celebrations while the Cabinet is on its three-day stay in Tobago, starting today. The weekly Cabinet meeting will be held at the Coco Reef Hotel this morning following which it will undertake a series of seminars on governance, retreat-style. This ends on Saturday, following which Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar’s promised Cabinet realignment will take place.
The seminars, geared at improving performance, are the second such gathering. The first was held in Tobago three months after the PP assumed Government. While in Tobago, the Prime Minister and other PP frontliners will speak at two anniversary celebration public meetings at Roxborough on Friday night and at Scarborough on Saturday. Also this weekend the PP Government will be assessed on a roundtable Government information show being aired on all television stations.
