Gunmen kill Laventille man

A 36-year-old Laventille man died at the Port-of-Spain General Hospital after he was shot at Block 22 in Laventille. Junior Baptiste of Mentor Alley was shot by gunmen while liming around 1.30 pm on Monday. The murder toll stood at 133 up to late yesterday, compared with 141 last year.
A report said Baptiste was with friends when a silver-coloured car pulled up and gunmen inside opened fire. Baptiste was taken to the hospital where he died of his injuries around 6.10 pm. Besson Street police are investigating.
