Public servant retires after 42 years

Couva South MP Rudranath Indarsingh has paid tribute to Waldron Smart, the former CEO of the Couva/Tabaquite/Talparo Regional Corporation, who retired recently.  Smart leaves after 42 years of public service. Indarsingh, who is also Minister in the Ministry of Local Government, praised Smart for his outstanding dedication and commitment and the sense of pride and patriotism he exhibited on and off the job.

 

He said Smart has worked with every local government minister, from Kamaluddin Mohammed in the Dr Eric Williams administration, to the current minister, Chandresh Sharma.
