Man and his family living on the edge

hunilal Romero, 53, and his family are literally living on the edge. Romero fears his house will collapse into a ravine at Stone Bright Village, Guayaguayare, if the relevant authorities do not intervene. According to Romero, the board house was constructed on land he rented 32 years ago.
He said although he built the house more than ten feet from the edge of the ravine, over the last two years the soil started washing away below the house. Now, his living room is on the edge of a ravine. Romero said he has spoken with several officials who had made promises to visit. “They only promise but never come,” he added.
