Man held in South stabbing death

Police have identified a suspect and are carrying out investigation into the stabbing death of a San Fernando man. Andel Seales, a 26-year-old mason of Independence Avenue, was killed while walking home early Sunday morning. Police reports said at approximately 12.30 on Sunday morning, Seales was walking on Sutton Street with a friend when he was approached by the suspect. The suspect, who Seales is believed to have known, engaged him in an argument about a previous altercation. During the argument the suspect drew a knife and stabbed Seales in the chest, police said. According to the police, Seales died at the San Fernando General Hospital at 1.20 am on Sunday. An autopsy is expected to be carried out today.
