Police are yet to make an arrest in the murder of 25-year-old Darcel Boodram whose remains were discovered behind the Housing Development Company’s Olera Heights Housing Complex on Saturday. However, investigators are exploring several leads into the shooting which they believe stemmed from a domestic matter. Police believe the mother of two was following up certain information when she met her demise. Her body was found a short distance away from her home on Purcell Street, San Fernando.

Police estimate she met her death at around 3 am Saturday, three hours after she left her home. Boodram’s husband, Kenwyn Villafanna said in an interview that he left home around 11,30 pm on Friday after the two had an argument and when he returned she had left.  The 31-year-old father said he wished her killers had taken his life instead. He is now calling on authorities for swift justice in the matter. An autopsy on Boodram’s body is scheduled for today at the Forensic Science Centre.
