Rain spoils young Windies comeback

The West Indies Under-16 team lost its five-match One Day series against their Australian counterparts 2-0 after the last three matches at the Bradman Oval in Bowral were abandoned because of rain. In Game Three on Friday, the Australians reached 266/5 in their 50 overs before a heavy downpour prevented the Windies from beginning their run chase. On Sunday, the West Indies opted for first strike and reached 66/1 in the 20th over before a thundershower halted the game.
Brian Sattaur (42*) and Kamil Pooran (16*) were the not out batsmen when the game was abandoned. Pooran was looking the most impressive of the West Indians in his first knock. Continuous overnight rain caused the fifth match to be called off yesterday without the players taking the field. The tour will continue with a 25 Over (20+25) Game at Albert Park in Melbourne tomorrow.
