Brittos win Tyro night football title

The Brittos family connection team known as “B’s” took the recent Tyro Sports Club Open League Seven-ah-Side Night Football 2011 by storm after defeating Sweaters 2-0 at the Bourg Mulatresse Recreation Ground. On target in the final was Ryan Britto and Trevis Britto taking B’s to the $3000 grand Prize with the Challenge Trophy and replica. B’s reached to the final after crushing Hot Shots Youths 6-1 in the semis.

Ryan Britto netted a hat trick. Hayden, Terryl and Jerrel Britto were all on target netting a single item each.
Sweaters playing in the other semi final narrowly defeated Old Road Utd by a goal to nil; the lone goal scored by Richard Villafana. Kern Britto and Jenoll Britto netted two goals each in the quarterfinal stage against San Juan San Juan. The match was won 5-0 by B’s with Hayden Britto again with a single goal.

Just before the final, Hot Shot Youths and Old Road played for the third place in which the first side won on penalty kicks after the game was drawn 3-3 by the final whistle. All top four placed teams walked away with significant prizes. Besides the Champions winning the $3000 prize, second placed Sweaters received $1500 and a trophy while third placed Hot Shot Youths were awarded $1000 and a trophy. Old Road who placed forth took $500 and a trophy. Kent Guy of Old Road received the award for netting the most goals.
