114 horses for Stewards Cup Day on Saturday

A total of 114 horses took entry for the Arima Race Club’s (ARC) Day 35 presentation—Stewards Cup Day. There will be a ten-race programme, with two feature events—the Grade One Stewards Cup over 1,200 metres, and the Stud Farm Association Breeders Stakes over 1,200 metres on the main track. The John O’Brien trained champion Bruceontheloose (53.0kgs) will be seeking to win the main event which carries a purse of $250,000 for the second time in two years. He will be ridden by Brian Boodramsing and will face the much vaunted Glenn Mendez duo of Readbetweendlines and Signal Alert.
