Intercol teams hoping for good weather

The PowerGen Secondary Schools Cricket League (SSCL) Daren Ganga T20 InterCol tournament second round will bowl off today. And schools will be hoping for better weather after several of last week’s matches were affected by rain. Premiership team Princes Town West who were on a bye last week will come up against Championship’s Vishnu Secondary who defeated Toco Secondary on a faster run rate. 
 
 
Vishnu’s top performers Bryan Boodram, who took five wickets in his previous match and Vikash Mohan and Andy Gobin, who both took two wickets, will be engaged in a tough task in dismissing Princess Town batsmen Gabriel Blackwell who has been having a fine season, having scored two half centuries. Al Small will spearhead Princess Town bowling. 
 
Recently promoted Trinity College East will battle against Barrackpore West. Trinity, chasing 51 runs reached 44/3 in 7.1 overs against San Fernando before rain ended the game. Top scorer was Randy Mahase with 14 not out and Nicholas Bhagwandeen 12 not out. Top bowling for San Fernando was A. Lahai with 1/8. Trinity was given the victory on a superior run rate.
