North East donates $$ to Fulham
Members of DirecTV North East Stars donated a cheque of $5,000 to Fulham Sports Club of Arima to offset expenses incurred during their local cricket campaign. Fulham President, David Hector, thanked North East for their generous contribution and stated that the money will be used for the development of the youth in the club.
“Fulham Club is really in need of funding so we want to thank (North East) for this generous donation. We have a youth development programme and Fulham believes the future is in the youth programme so these funds will go towards that programme.”
Hector added, “Fulham will be a vibrant organisation and we can identify with North East Stars, who want to forge a link with the community. Fulham Sports Club has been in existence for over five decades and has teams in both football and cricket.
Stating that it is a community-based club, Hector pointed out, “Our goal is to be an institution through which young people can develop their sporting talents and strive for excellence in all aspects of life. We believe in the holistic development of young people.
“We have a good structure in place, a good vision. We have qualified coaches and a good institution by which people can come and develop themselves, particularly the youngsters.”
