South East PoS semicentennial 5K runs today

South East Port of Spain (SEPoS) Secondary School will mark its 50th anniversary with a 5K walk and run, which will take off today at the Queen’s Park Savannah, Port of Spain. The 5K is one of several planned event intended to comemorate the opening of the school which is located on Nelson Street, in the country’s capital, and is a forum where both past and present sportsmen and women of the school, along with well-wishers can assemble for a morning of action. The race will commence at 8 am in front of the school.
 
A prize giving will be held following the race’s conclusion at 9:30 am, at the school.There will be prizes for the Male and Female Open (first to third), Alumni Male and Female (first to third) and Student Male and Female (first to third).
The open categories will include the general public. They include cash prizes which amounts to $500 for first, $300 for second and $200 for third. Interested persons may contact Claire Mitchell at 393-2894.-
