T&TEC and W Connection, will both have their eyes set on taking the outright lead when matches in the 2011/2012 Digicel T&T Pro League continues with a double-header this afternoon, at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva from 6pm. In the opener, the “Electricity Boys” come up against Police and will be out to exact a 4-1 league defeat while W Connection faces tough test in defending champion Defence Force. Current, T&TEC, competing in its first season in the Pro League lead the eight-team table with 18 points from nine matches, the same as Adam’s Construction Limited San Juan Jabloteh (ten matches), Neal & Massy Caledonia AIA (11 matches) and W Connection (ten matches). However, T&TEC has a superior goal-difference of plus-six to Jabloteh’s plus-five while Caledonia is next with plus-one and W Connection, zero. The “Electricity Boys”, coming off a 1-0 win over Jabloteh on Saturday at the same venue while the ‘Lawmen” battled to a 1-1 draw with Defence Force, a day earlier and having whipped T&TEC 4-1 just before the Christmas Holidays are not to be underestimated. The loss to Police is the only one suffered by T&TEC in the league to date after nine matches. Should Police manage to pull off another surprise result over T&TEC, then W Connection, 1-0 winners over DirecTV North East will be eager to repeat its win over the “Teteron Boys”, who it defeated 1-0 in their previous league encounter.
